How to get a Buggy Lets take a look at the steps we need to go through before getting into a buggy inside of earth2.io! Pre-alpha stage FOUNDS ARE BUILT. It's rough, it's early, and it's not pretty, but it's essential. Get the core mechanics working and test THEM. No bells and whistles needed yet, just the basics. Feedback Loop Formal push out to testers who are not part of the development team (this may be more people than pre-alpha). Their fresh eyes will catch issues you've glossed over. Listen to them, iterate, and improve. Alpha Stage e2V1 takeS shape WITH MORE FEATURES. This is traditionally still not for public eyes, but maybe an even larger group of testers can be brought in to help refine gameplay. First drive of our buggy! Beta Testing It's getting real! The game is now in a state where E2 can formally let a broader audience in. Collect feedback, monitor how they play, and adjust accordingly. Soft Launch the game is informally released to the public. This is a great way to see how it fares in the 'real world' without the pressure of a full launch. Polish and Balance Use data from the soft launch to polish the game. Balance the gameplay, fix any bugs, and add the final touches that make your game shine. Marketing Buzz E2 may start the marketing engines! Getting even more people excited about the game with teasers, trailers, and social media buzz. Launch Readiness Ensure the servers are ready for the influx of players, with support team on standby, and e2 should have a plan for post-launch content. Go Live Launching the 3d game of E2 to the public! Monitor everything closely, be ready to fix any issues, and celebrate E2'S AND THE COMMUNITIES hard work. Post-Launch updates, new content, and constant communication with THE player base (MAYBE ANOTHER WHITEPAPER?). THE game is out, INTERLACED WITH THE WIDER E2 ECOSYSTEM but the journey has just begun!
