Something Just Occurred To Me (Directors Cut)
I had a new idea -
it whispered in my ear:
“I need someone to think me
before I disappear.”
“Don’t test me,” it retorted.
“I’m just simply right and true.
I’ve no need to prove my worth
to be thought by such as you.”
Ideas don’t have feelings,
they are not like you or I.
Only those who have them do:
the idea’s Alumni.
The idea sounded flustered.
“Hold on! I could be right!
Think of what you stand to lose!
To doubt’s just impolite!”
Was it a good idea?
I ask myself that now.
Are we a good idea?
What are ideas, anyhow?
